PAN Card Update: PAN Card of these PAN holders to be canceled in 25 days, check now

PAN Card Update: It is crucial for people to be aware of an important requirement regarding their PAN card. The linking of PAN card and Aadhaar card is of utmost significance.

The deadline for linking PAN card and Aadhaar card is approaching rapidly. It is essential for all PAN card holders to link their PAN card with their Aadhaar card in order to maintain the active status of their PAN card. However, it is understandable that many individuals might be unsure if their PAN card and Aadhaar card are already linked. Therefore, we strongly recommend checking whether your Aadhaar card is linked to your PAN card or not.

PAN Card and Aadhaar Card Linking Process

Checking whether your Aadhaar card is linked with your PAN card is a simple task. It is important to link them before 30th June 2023, or else you will have to pay a fine of Rs 1,000. The government has made it mandatory for taxpayers to link their Aadhaar with their PAN card by this deadline.

If you fail to link your Aadhaar with your PAN card, your PAN card will become inactive from 1st July 2023. To link your Aadhaar and PAN card, you can follow these steps:

  • Open the Income Tax e-filing portal at https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/.
  • Register on the portal using your PAN card as the user ID.
  • Log in by entering your User ID, Password, and Date of Birth.
  • A pop-up window will appear, prompting you to link your PAN with Aadhaar. If it doesn’t appear, go to ‘Profile Settings’ in the menu bar and click on ‘Link Aadhaar’.
  • Your PAN details such as date of birth and gender will already be mentioned as per the PAN records.
  • Verify the PAN details displayed on the screen with the details on your Aadhaar card. If there is any mismatch, you need to rectify it in either document.
  • If the details match, enter your Aadhaar number and click on the “Link Now” button.
  • A pop-up message will confirm that your Aadhaar has been successfully linked with your PAN.

Alternatively, you can also visit the websites https://www.utiitsl.com/ or https://www.egov-nsdl.co.in/ to link your PAN and Aadhaar cards.
