RapidX Rail Ticket: Passengers of the upcoming Regional Rapid Rail (RapidX) in Ghaziabad will have various choices when it comes to purchasing tickets. One notable option is the ability to buy tickets using UPI through Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs) installed at all RapidX stations. To buy a ticket, passengers simply need to tap on the ‘Buy Ticket’ option on these machines.
They will then be directed to the station chart, where they can select their destination station and enter the ticket number. The payment options will be displayed on the screen, allowing passengers to make the payment using their preferred mode.
How does the UPI option work?
For passengers opting for UPI, a QR code will be displayed on the machine. By scanning this code with their UPI app, passengers can make the payment. Once the payment is processed, the ticket will be issued from the machine. In addition to UPI, passengers can also use banknotes, credit or debit cards, and NCMC card wallet for ticket purchases.

NCRTC Mobile App:
Through the RapidX Connect feature, passengers can generate an E-QR code that serves as an e-ticket. Payment can be made via UPI, debit card, credit card, or net banking within the app. The E-QR code needs to be scanned at the AFC gate for entry and exit at RapidX stations, allowing passengers to board the train directly. If passengers plan to return from the same destination station, a single E-QR code can be generated for both onward and return tickets. The RapidX Connect app will soon be available for download on the Google App Store and Apple Store.
NCMC (National Common Mobility Card):
This card can be obtained from various banks, including the Customer Service Center of Rapid Station. These cards, available as prepaid, debit, or credit RuPay cards, can be recharged at the customer care center. To travel, passengers can simply tap the card at the AFC gate of the station. When the journey is completed, exit from the station will be permitted.
Ticket Office Machine (TOM):
Passengers will also have access to Ticket Office Machines (TOM) at all stations for ticket purchase convenience. From TOM, passengers can buy QR code-based paper tickets for their journey. Designated staff will be present at TOM for ticket sales. Payments can be made in cash, UPI, debit, or credit cards. The facility to recharge travel cards will also be available here.
For passengers wishing to travel in the premium class, they will need to utilize the double-tap AFC system. This means that after entering the paid area from the concourse level, they will need to tap the AFC gate once again at the platform level to reach the premium class boarding area. From there, they can board the premium coach of the train and, upon reaching their destination, disembark at the premium area and exit by tapping on the AFC gate there.
