Trains departing from Ranchi or Hatia to Bangalore, as well as from Dhanbad to Alappuzha, will now follow new routes. If you are traveling directly to Bangalore or Alappuzha, your journey will remain unaffected. However, if you plan to disembark at any intermediate station, it is crucial to verify whether the train will pass through your desired route and whether it will make a stop at your intended station.

Traffic Block in South Central Railway: Changes in Train Routes
Important information has been provided by the South Eastern Railway Ranchi Division regarding changes in train routes. Nishant Kumar, the Chief Public Relations Officer of Ranchi Division, has informed that three trains, including the Dhanbad-Alappuzha Express and Hatia-Sir M Visvesvaraya Bangalore Express, will have altered routes. This modification is due to ongoing development works in the South Central Railway, which will necessitate a traffic block. As a result, the routes of these trains originating from Ranchi’s Hatia and Dhanbad stations have been revised.
Here are the details of the train routes:
- Train No. 13351 Dhanbad-Alappuzha Express will be diverted and run via Niddavolu, Bhimavaram Town, Gudivada, and Vijayawada instead of its usual route of Niddavolu, Eluru, and Vijayawada on May 23, 2023, May 26, 2023, and May 27, 2023. Consequently, this train will not make any stops at Tadepalligudem and Eluru stations during this period.
- Train No. 12835 Hatia-Sir M Visvesvaraya Bengaluru Express will be diverted and run via Nidadavolu, Bhimavaram Town, Gudivada, and Vijayawada instead of its usual route of Nidadavolu, Eluru, and Vijayawada on May 23, 2023.
- Additionally, train number 18637 Hatia-Sir M Visvesvaraya Bengaluru Express will run via Niddavolu, Bhimavaram Town, Gudivada, and Vijayawada instead of its scheduled route of Niddavolu, Eluru, and Vijayawada on May 27, 2023.
