Bank SMS Alert! If you have an account with Kotak Mahindra Bank, this news could be useful for you. Starting today, Kotak Bank has introduced a new rule on Thursdays.
Under this rule, customers will no longer receive messages for certain UPI transactions. In case the payment fails repeatedly and money is deducted, customers may encounter difficulties.
The bank has informed its customers about this change through messages. It’s important to note that customers will not receive messages for UPI transactions regarding the amount, and they need to know where they can find information about it.
No SMS Notifications for these Transactions
In a recent message to its customers, the bank announced that they will no longer receive SMS notifications for debit transactions below Rs 100. Additionally, even if an amount of Rs 500 or less is credited to your account through UPI, you will not receive a notification. This new rule came into effect on May 15.
However, customers need not worry as they will still receive detailed information about their transactions in their bank statements.

You need to do this work to receive transaction notifications
If you wish to receive SMS notifications for every transaction, you can enable SMS banking through your Kotak mobile banking app. Once activated, you will receive SMS alerts for all your transactions.
