Exciting news for our country as Uttarakhand receives its first Vande Bharat Express train. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated this train at New Delhi Railway Station. This marks the sixth Vande Bharat Express train for Delhi.
The Vande Bharat Express currently operates on routes connecting Delhi to Ajmer, Varanasi, Katra, Bhopal, and Amb Andaura. However, this is the first Vande Bharat Express train dedicated to Uttarakhand and the 18th Vande Bharat Express train in India.
Running from Dehradun to Delhi and vice versa, this train promises world-class facilities and a comfortable travel experience. It incorporates advanced armor technology for enhanced safety measures.
The journey between Delhi and Dehradun will now be completed in just 4 hours and 45 minutes. The train service will commence from May 29th, covering a distance of 302 kilometers. The Vande Bharat Express will operate on all days of the week except Wednesday.
The ticket fares for the Delhi-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express are Rs 1,065 for AC chair car and Rs 1,890 for executive chair car.
Train number 22457 will depart from Anand Vihar Railway Station at 17:50 and arrive at Dehradun at 22:35, providing convenient timing for passengers.
