New Vande Bharat Train: Vande Bharat Express to Operate Between Dehradun and Delhi – Fare, Timetable, and Route Details
In the country so far, a total of 14 Vande Bharat trains have been introduced, and a few months ago, the train commenced its journey from Delhi Cantt to Ajmer. Considering the growing demand from passengers, the government is now planning to launch Vande Bharat trains on 31 additional routes in the near future.
The latest addition to the Vande Bharat train network is the Dehradun-Delhi Vande Bharat Express, which will soon commence its service between Dehradun and New Delhi starting from May 29th.
Currently, six trains operate between Dehradun and New Delhi, including Shatabdi, Janshatabdi, Uttaranchal Express, Mussoorie Express, Dehradun-Indore Express, Ujjaini Express, and Nanda Devi AC Superfast Express. The Vande Bharat Express will now be joining this list. Railway officials have made all the necessary arrangements for the inauguration ceremony.
Expected Stops
The Vande Bharat Express will pass through Uttar Pradesh while traveling from New Delhi to Uttarakhand. However, there is no official confirmation regarding the specific stations where this high-speed train will halt between Delhi and Uttarakhand. It is anticipated that the train may make stops at Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Roorkee, and Haridwar.
Fare Information
For the Delhi to Dehradun route, the Vande Bharat train will depart from Delhi at 5 PM and arrive in Dehradun at approximately 10 PM. Conversely, it will depart from Dehradun at 8 AM and reach New Delhi railway station by 1 PM. Speaking of fares, the AC chair car ticket will cost Rs 915, while the AC executive chair car ticket will be priced at Rs 1425.
Reduced Travel Time (Only 5 hours Journey)
While there are several trains that currently operate between Delhi and Dehradun, their travel duration is relatively longer. With the introduction of Vande Bharat Express, this journey can be completed in less time. The distance between Delhi and Dehradun is 315 kilometers, and the Vande Bharat Express is expected to cover this distance in approximately 5 hours, making only a few major station stops along the way.
