Industrial Policy-2005 announced by the State Government provides for the laying of guidelines for the management of estates, allotment, transfer, leasing, renting etc. of plots & other assets by the State Developing Agency and be governed by its own laid down policies / guidelines. In order to ensure better utilization of infrastructure and speedy industrialization, HSIIDC has been active in the development of special economic activity zones like SEZs, Industrial parks, Estates etc.

Special Economic Zones There are 67 approved SEZs in Haryana out of which 64 SEZs are located in the project influence area of DMIC. It is observed that IT/ITeS sector dominates the number of proposed SEZs in Haryana. Moreover, majority of projects are located in Gurgaon and Faridabad

Proposed Knowledge City (15 Sqkm), Cyber City (9 Sqkm), Medi City (2.5 Sqkm), Bio-Science City (5.5 Sqkm), World Trade City (2.6 Sqkm), Fashion City (2.2 Sqkm), Entertainment City (1.4 Sqkm), Leisure City (7 Sqkm), Cyber City (9Sqkm), Leather City (2.8 Sqkm), Dry Port (7.2 Sqkm) along the proposed Western Peripheral Expressway (Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway)

. IMT-Manesar (Phase-V): Of the designated land of 956 Acres, 340 Acres is available free from litigations and proposed cost of development works is INR 150 Crore. Type of Industries expected include Industrial Logistic Parks, Residential, Commercial and Institutional Area.

. Development of Industrial Sector at Sector-34 and 35, Gurgaon: Land Avaialbility-341 Acres and Cost of Development Works- INR 60 Crore.

. Government of Haryana is developing Industrial Model Townships (IMTs) at Four locations (Rohtak, Kharkhauda, Faridabad and Jagadhari)

- IMT-Rohtak: Land measuring 871 Acres is notified of which 152 Acres has been acquired. Expected type of industries include High Tensile Fastners, Food Processing, Ceramic and Engineering

- IMT-Faridabad: Land measuring 1832 Acres has been notified under Section-4 and ready for issuing notification under Section-6 to proceed with acquisition and development. Expected industries include Light Engineering, Casting and Forging, Electrical Appliances, Textile (Dying and Printing).

Proposed Hi-Tech Cities along Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway
- IMT-Jagadhari: Being developed over 700 Acres and proposal for additional expansion by 306 Acres.
- IMT-Kharkhauda: Located along Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway, development proposal is being finalized.
. Bawal (Phase-II): 1200 Acres has already been developed. Government proposes to acquire additional 1056 Acres for expansion of the Industrial Growth Center at Bawal.
. Technology Park, Sector-22, Panchkula: 97 Acres of land designated for developing Technology Park.
. Flatted Factories on a plot area of 4273sqm in Sector-59, Faridabad catering to 42 units.
